Perla Wall Panels - An effective alternative to bathroom tiles.
Perla bathroom wall panels are a great way to redesign your bathroom without the need for expensive tiling. They are easy to clean and made from high quality exterior grade MDF that can be quickly installed by gluing them to the bathroom wall using the Perla wall panel adhesive provided. Wall panels are far more hygienic than bathroom tiles and remove the need for grouting which harbours germs and attracts fungal growth.
Perla bathroom wall panels can be used anywhere that ceramic tiling would have been used. Shower areas, around baths, in bathrooms and for general purpose use such as in shop fitting applications.
The bathroom wall panels sold by Shower Enclosures Direct are 2400 x 1200 x 11mm and can either be glued directly to the sub wall providing it is in a sound and dry condition or old ceramic tiles can be covered, avoiding the need for their time consuming and costly removal.

Installation
- Simply use the Perla wall panel adhesive provided to stick to any wall finish provided it's in a sound and dry condition, Perla grab adhesive will stick to plasterboard, ceramic tiles and other existing finishes.
- Where a wall is damaged or out of true, it may be necessary to fix install battens at 300mm vertical or horizontal centres which can be used to fix the panels.
- Shower Enclosures should be fixed directly to the panels using Perla Silicone and the recommended fixings so that the panels extend to the full height of the shower.
(For additional water security they can be taken beyond the actual shower enclosure. )
- When drilling holes in Perla wall panels be sure to seal any penetrations with Perla Silicone and leave 2mm clearance around pipes.
- When used with Shower Enclosure Direct Products it's recommended that panels extend to the floor so that a seal using Perla silicone can be formed between the face of the panel and the tray or bath edge.
- Perla Wall Panels must be securely fixed and the silicone seal maintained.
